WEIGHT OPTIONS

Light Weight - For lines 3wt and lighter. Can also be used with heavier lines for extra delicate presentation. Great for fishing small flies.

Medium Weight - For use with 4, 5, and 6 weight fly lines. A good general purpose weight. Created for these line weights but can be used with lighter or heavier lines.

Heavy Weight - For lines 7wt and heavier.

Fishing The Everglades Year Round

I use both the mono and the flouro leader year round down here in the Glades & 10,000 Islands. I am fishing 7, 8 & 9 wt. rods most of the time and occasionally a 10 & 11 wt. Snook, reds, trout and baby tarpon are the main target species. I really like the furled leader which I fish with both a 30 and 40 lbs. shock tippet most of the time. I find the turnover to be excellent and the fighting strength to be perfect. I will say that I remove the ring and tie my shock tippet directly to the leader with a uni knot.

Mono furled leader

Excellent turnover and delicate drag free floats. They spray about the same as regular mono.

Nylon furled leader

I usually fish 3 wt. to skittish trout and always like a leader with a smooth, accurate turnover that lands soft and light on the water with little spray ...... these furled leaders are the best.
